Midnight

I can’t believe how well this is written, from the first page of your version of Midnight Sun, I knew I was in for an overwhelming treat. I’ve read each of your versions twice in give or take 2 weeks, and I find myself reading it over, yet again! You’ve done such an amazing job! It’s like you captured Edward in a tiny little bottle, and are having him whisper you his thoughts and feelings, and you’re just putting them onto paperYou’re one of my new favorite people ^(^.^)^I hope you decide to do an “Official Un-Official Book 5” I would die of happiness! I know in my heart that you have everything it takes to make a masterpiece, Miss Martha Browne won’t know what hit her when that hits the shelves xDWhat do you think about actually writing that Twilight Book 5? I’m sure someone has suggested it, but I would be so delighted.I just read all that I typed and I can’t help but laugh at myselfI’m a 21 year old guy, and I’m way too into Twilight. What’s up with the universe? Jeez lolLike.

Hi Daniel,I’m thrilled that you’re a 21yo guy! I’m sure there are many others, but the men who read my website don’t comment often (or perhaps they do it under a feminine name). It’s good to know that Edward is working from a male perspective, since, though I have half a dozen brothers, I am still not male.

П™‚ One always wonders if the masculinity of a character can survive the feminine pen.Regarding your questionSadly, it makes no sense for me to write a Twilight book on my own, since I do not own the copyright. Fanfiction is wonderful, but I have to limit myself since I am actually a professional writer and we also must eat. П™‚ If you haven’t read Edward’s diary, then check it out.

You’ll find lots of untold stories. I and another author (Julie Vans) are now working on a second diary, that is being written in the future, so there will be new stories there as well.

Thank you for your lovely comments and I hope you continue to enjoy the website! Best, PALLike. Hi Judy!I, myself, would love to read Stephenie Meyer’s version of Edward’s entire story.

I wanted that so much, in fact, that I spent a couple of years filling in the space in case she never got around to writing more from Edward’s perspective. I’m sure her version would be better and more elaborate than mine, but at least it’s something for us to read. П™‚ I assume you’ve since discovered that all the books are here, the entire Twilight Saga, rewritten from Edward’s POV. I do hope you enjoy them! Hi Jessica,It’s a great suggestion and one I’ve gotten before. Here’s the problemit’s much harder than you might think to do that.

If you’ve ever copied out long files from the internet (12 files for Midnight Sun, 56 files for Breaking Dawn), you will know that it’s a hard, repetitive slog to do so. Then, assuming people want to read on their e-readers, you must do a lot of editing to make the format work correctly. It sounds simple, but it’s exceedingly time-consuming.

I tried writing a program to concatenate files, but never could get it to work properly and, to be frank, I don’t have the hours to commit to itit’s either spend the time to format and re-edit the work I’ve already done or spend that time writing more. You can probably guess which I’ ve chosen. П™‚ Sorry about that. FYI, The first time someone comments on this website, your comment gets put in a queue for me to read and approve as a spam-filteringn measure, but as long as you use this same email address, your future comments will post immediately.Like. I wish u would continue this book, and what u love most. I enjoyed the twilight series books and the movies.

I am delighted to read more, and I am happy to have decided on continuing to read Stephanie’s works despite the ugly critics. Midnight sun is a very promising one in my opinion and it had filled up the holes and questions I have when I was reading the twilight books. Thank you for sharing this drafts. I even love you more now, that u have not given up to all the negative things that they have done to you. You inspire me more and thank u again for that!Like. Tina, there is a LOT of tremendous fanfic out there even more trash though, so you have to be willing to ditch something after a chapter or so. On fanfiction.net try gisellelx, openhome, and Edward A.

Masen, all canon or close to. Gisellelx has a Twilight-Fifty Shades crossover that is hysterical – intentional parody. (I am none of these people. I wish!)Phoebe, thank you so much – I was completely burned on a ff that was MUCH too much porn (not FSoG) and ditched it completely for your piece, which is garnering a good rep, and fortunately for me at the moment is guaranteed little action!Like. Hi Brenda,Thanks for writing.

It’s a fine line between erotica and porn and the line varies for different people. I tried to approach the sex as I thought Edward wouldwith curiosity, with surprise & delight, but with lots of details and accurate terminology because he’s also a thinker and a scientist as well as a lover.

I also made it explicit as a balance to the deliberate veiling and understatement of Bella’s story because as an adult, I found the limits of the young-adult-level story frustrating. I’m really glad that it works for you. P.A.L.-Just finished reading and wanted to let you know that you’ve done an excellent job. From one writer to another, I applaud your efforts. There was hardly a blip between Ms. Meyer’s writing and yours, so it was practically seamless, yet I could hear your unique voice coming through as well. This piece has reversed my prior opinion of fan fic, as my first taste was the abysmal 50 Shades trilogy.

I hope you will continue with your writing, because I look forward to seeing what ORIGINAL characters and storylines you’ve been able to conjur on your own (I’ll be clicking on “other projects” after this)! You certainly have the imagination and skill for it. I’ll be checking out the rest of your site in due time, but I’ll be looking forward to coming back on future occasions to see what you’re up to. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us.T.M.TLike. After i don’t know how long i finally finish reading and midnight sun at the same time!!

I love it more than i thought. DOing this i finally could find and understand the writing differences between SM and you. Is totally different is great:-p I’m doing the same with all the other books i’m almost finishing new moon to start Eclipse, but really new moon was a little hard to follow ur version and SM but i finally sank it during the dates or the temperature seasons.

Hope everything is going well and looking foward to new diaries entries!!

Hello, I have to say your continued writing of the rest of Stephenie’s Midnight Sun is amazin. I did have one request or maybe it’s a question. Why didn’t you include more comments from Bella? Letting all the questions Edward want to know be asked and answered? I know he had a million questions and that would have illogical and added at least a thousand pages, but a lot more than you did allow for. And hearing Edward thinking what her answer had been wasn’t near as enjoyable as actually reading her responses.

I am so sorry to say anything even in the least derogatory about your writing as I have so enjoyed every word. Thank you so much for writing all of this and all that I still have to read.PauletteSorry about where I posted this, but I so rarely post I didn’t have a clue where to put this.Like. You’re right. No writer can fully imitate another’s writing or recreate her world 100%. I tried to make Edward’s viewpoint work as an extension to Meyer’s world as much as I could, but over time, I also added my own slant to Edward’s character while attempting to keep the facts as correct and congruent as possible. I wanted to understand what was going on in Edward’s (often opaque) mind, so analyzing his psychology and imagining his thought processes are what motivated my version.Best,-PALLike.

Finding this was like my birthday and Christmas and much more happiness, all rolled into one! I don’t know how I haven’t found this before now, but I am so glad that I did! I was revisiting Forks, as I do from time to time and once I got through the books, I went back to re-read Midnight Sun.

One day I needed to get some cleaning done, but didn’t want to stop reading, so I threw caution to the wind and went searching for an audiobook on youtube. Luckily, Caleb K-V obliged. I got to chapter 12, expecting the story to end (I have always been sort of heartbroken that it ended so abruptly) when to my surprise. He kept going chapter 13, chapter 14.

I was like “What?! Did Stephenie Meyer finish writing Midnight Sun?!” Very confused, I looked at Caleb’s description and found out about your site! All I can say is THANK YOU PA Lassiter! You’ve made one of this Twihard fans dreams come true!
